The most wonderful black pepper scent in wet-shaving Big Grin

Seriously though, I tried hard today to pick up the vetiver and I just dont get it.  I even used PAA Vetiver Planet AS to compare with BV...and no comparison.  It's certainly weird how two noses will pick up different scents.

Know what you mean.  Some of us have sniffers that work.  Some don’t!  Ha.  It is weird how soaps change.  Like looking at one of those 80s 3D pointalist posters that it isn’t until you stare through it the picture appears. Your post reminds me I need to get more pepper corns. Just about out and this is sweet corn season! Can’t have that!

Might as well add a bit of commentary...

Utilized the Puro Fresco in the Select base a couple nights ago... it was quite nice and reminds me of something I used/smelled in Italy when I was there some years ago now...can't recall what it was...just remember the scent and Italy.
That was my first ever use of the Select base. Very nice stuff.

Tonight was the Juniper & Sage in the Oliva base. First time using this scent but I have used the Oliva base in several other scents. This scent is more on the earthy side of things than the herbal side, but I think sage oil tends to do that (whereas sage leaves are more herbal). Sage oil is the main note, I didn't get much juniper if I'm being honest. I'm sure it's there,

Performance-wise, honestly, I couldn't tell you if there is an appreciable difference between the two bases. Seemed pretty identical. Only difference I can think of is that the Oliva base seems to want more water (though both really love the water).

Probably, both of these bases are quicker than most others to load more soap onto the brush than is actually needed. That is my sense, at the moment at least, and probably why I say they both prefer lots of water... especially the Oliva.
Or, who knows, maybe these bases work very nicely in a tight/sticky (less hydrated) lather?

What do you think?

good lather has no suds

Indian Flavour v. (Meißner Tremonia) mint, lemongrass, coriander

I've got to be careful with this soap. Every time I lather it, I get a craving for curry. It hit me hard this morning, and now I've got enough tandoori chicken and saag paneer to last a week, if not more.

How’s your lather with this? I picked up a different scent when I was in Germany. Great scent but I couldn’t get a decent lather? Any tips?
