Wholly Kaw Rebelle

Siero base

This soap pays homage to the late David Bowie with his image emblazoned on the top of the soap container.  It ranks among my favorites.  I had the privilege of seeing Bowie play live in 1974 at the Universal Amphitheater in the San Fernando Valley.  Appropriately,  they served champagne at the bar. That show ranks among the finest I have ever witnessed as Bowie strutted his stuff in front of a demanding Hollywood crowd.  Jazz aficionados will likely know of one of the members of his band, the incomparable saxaphonist David Sanborn.

The scent is simply elegant.  Scent Profile: Notes of Oud, Leather, Tobacco, Sandalwood, Vetiver.

Soap sounds great - and I love Sanborn - seen him live 4 times. Must have been a great night

Sniff this puck and you'd have every right to think this fragrance is never going to work. The black pepper is too strong, the neroli too sweet. But whip up a lather and mash it around your face for a while, and something remarkable happens. As the pepper fades and the neroli mellows, a soft, sweet, rich note of honey wells up filling the gap between flower and the spice. The three scents take turns coming to the front and then gracefully stepping back. It's like an olfactory minuet for three. Very cool.

Not often one has the opportunity to employ “pas de trois” outside ballet; your post evoked memories of a lady friend, formerly a ballerina....
