Sometimes I puzzle over why I try so many soaps when I already have soaps I enjoy so much.  I suppose it’s pretty exciting to pop the top of a brand new tub of soap to see what mysteries lie within.  Sort of like traveling to new places and partaking of the native flair.  Hat said, after all the festivities, coming home to your own bed is one of life’s biggest pleasures.  DR Harris soap pucks are like that for me.  So familiar.  So predictable.  So awesomely refined.  Marlborough is in the dish there and the puck is getting thin and dished (I lather the puck in my palm, rinse in the sink, and dry on a hand towel because I like my soaps tidy.) and probably has no more than 600 Shaves left.....  I really like the cedar in this soap.

Great first shave with this soap, which deserves better packaging, but in no way will its current lack thereof deter me from using it.

Felce Aromatica v. (Saponificio Varesino) light green

This has the lavender top notes of a classic fougère, but I don't smell any oakmoss or even much coumarin in the base. Instead I get pine and amber. I suppose that's the aromatic part of the fragrance. Felce Aromatica is not your old time fougère, but I love it, especially on a hot day when a few shakes of menthol make it even more refreshing.
