Tommy, how would you describe the scent on that bad boy?

good lather has no suds
Nero, we have similar likes and dislikes [been eyeballin'you for years ]. T is a perfect mix of floral - citrus notes. And the scent is strong! It pairs very well with Florida Water.
My wife never comments on my 'smelliness'.... She actually said i smell nice and fresh. It is uplifting. Of course, scent is in the nose of the beholder. Worth a try as the lather is creamy with no suds!

Thank you for the description (and vote of confidence), Tommy! Much appreciated Smile
You had me at "floral and citrus"... and sealed the deal with no suds, hahaha

Santal Absolut t. (Fine) sandalwood cologne

It's not hard so see why this soap ranks high around here. Fine pucks make a great lather, they last forever, and they're priced very reasonably. They smell good, too. This tub of Santal Absolut is full of rich Australian sandalwood. And the finish? It's been nearly eight hours since I shaved, and I barely feel a barb.

Hub City Soaps are made by a cute little family in Lubbock TX.  David Lopez-Cepero and his bride Molly are the driving force behind the soap and according to the website, a dollar of each tub sold goes to local charity if that is a factor that floats your boat.  At any rate, this is my first experience with Hub City and the scent is Morning Hike.  Let me tell you, the name is appealing to me and the scent is very nice but I just don’t get a morning hike scent from it.  What I do get is grapefruit and orange (always good) and white sage.  Dang, I keep hoping for a great western blue sage scent that smells like the outdoors and not the kitchen.  But I digress.  The scent is very nice and appropriately strong.  Unisex in nature, I don’t see this not having broad appeal but neither do I see it separating itself from the pack of other “nice scents”.  I have been wondering with all the beef tallow soaps around why someone hasn’t done a lard soap.  Stirling does a lard hand soap but not a shaving soap.  So I was pleased to see lard on the recipe in Hub City.  Lather was just excellent.  This is not a thirsty soap but it sure made some ropey, creamy, slick lather that offered plenty of protection and slickness.  Very very nice indeed.  It’s been about 30 minutes post shave and my skin it a bit tight but you know me, who cares.  This is a very nice soap.  Easy to get great lather.  Cute little family. Persistent scent.
