Art of Shaving Rose Absolute shaving cream (vintage), hardened by age into soap.  The jar is too small for direct loading, so I used the knife to get a dollop out and into my scuttle bowl.  Next time I will try reconstituting it to cream consistency with filtered water, which has worked pretty well with other dried creams.

Church-how much and how often do you add the water. Have some creams that need to get rehydrated. Thx in advance.

Clay Face

Mysore Sandalwood v. (Nanny's Silly Soap) authentic sandal

The puck smells light and buttery. It may remind you of someone popping corn in the microwave three offices down. But wet your brush and build a  lather and everything turns surprisingly toasty. The foam smells woody and creamy, just as you would expect from real sandal, but it's also got this dry burnt note that summons memories of pressing a hot iron into a freshly washed cotton shirt. Altogether very pleasant. The fourth ingredient is Shea butter, so the finish is especially rich.

How do you like this take on Bay Rum?  I sure do like Murphy and McNeil's lather.
