What soap/cream did you use today?

It's winter in Idaho.  Shoot, I know it's winter everywhere in the Northern Hemisphere (unless you subscribe to a Flat Earth belief and then I don't know what winter means).  Anyway, although I am not a "soap seasons" guy I do tend to use darker, heavier scents in the winter.  Today however, I wanted something brighter so Mystic Waters Pompelmo & Fiori (grapefruit and flowers) took the mound.  I don't know how this soap works for others with softer water but in my hard well water it performs with very low structure, tons of slickness, and a post shave to rival anyone's.  And the scent?  My oh my, it's springtime in my bathroom this morning.  

This is a great scent!  If you have any Stirling MITA (AS, balm, or WH), it's a nice compliment to Pompelmo & Fiori.  If you don't want the menthol-freeze of MITA, CL Wienstrasse works well too

Strong ’n Scottish v. (Meißner Tremonia) charred whisky barrel

As with other MT soaps, there’s a sweet, jammy scent at the bottom of this fragrance. It’s not easy to pick it out at first, thanks to the tidal wave of cade and whisky that greets you when you open the jar. But as your lather forms, it takes on a soft, creamy note that lessens the edge of the two principal scents. Strong ’n Scottish is a grand soap, one that I’ll gladly reserve on my shelf of the thirty best.
