I've had this puck of Bath House Nutmeg and Fig sitting around for months and figured this was special enough to pull it out and give it a whirl. Buddy, I have been wrong to leave this soap unused. I'm a very big fan of triple milled hard pucks. Not that they all perform better but I just really like the task of loading and lathering them. This one is pretty esoteric and for the love of Pete I don't know why. The scent is lovely. 5 of 10 that lasts through and post shave for an hour or so. This wind interfere with your chosen scent no matter what you choose to pair it with. The scent states nutmeg and fig but my main notes are sandalwood and cedar with a patchouli backup. The spice is there no doubt and a sweetness that must be fig, but the wood is the main player. This would be good year round but when I smell it I get the new life of spring. It's light and breezy which runs counterintuitive to the main sandalwood note but that is my feeling. Lather is excellent and slickness is VERY. Post, like most hard pucks it a bit tight but I'm going to generally add a post shave splash or balm anyway and always a dab of Shea. This is a luxury scent in a premium soap and it'll see more game time.Sold. Bullgoose? Gotta git me some. Like you love triple milled hard pux

I really like it as well. Seville may fall in the same boat still likely there bestseller but it doesn't seem to come up much here either. Spoiled for choice I imagine many get that barbershop fix elsewhere in there rotation or possibly it just doesn't excite them that much anymore. I know for myself there are plenty of bestsellers I really don't have much interest in from a scent standpoint. A little off topic and I'm probably in the minority here but I think once I get through what I have it will probably just be a few select scents with the rest being unscented. Plenty of enablers so will see how It goes though. )

(PAA Sun Down is another take on this same frag.
Personally, I like B&M's version better... more full, natural, and just gives aura of higher quality to me. The PAA is still quite good in isolation, just B&M's take is better on most days, IMO.)
Not an easy scent to describe. Definitively masculine though, that is no doubt.
Definitely barbershoppy and musky. After that, it's hard to pick out any individual notes other than the talc and oakmoss. Maybe a dark lavender in there. Clean, with a hint of spice but I don't know what it's from...maybe a touch of cinnamon.
BARRISTER & MANN Behold The Whatsis!
After returning from a beach holiday I’m boycotting cold winter weather, and it’s working, was 51f in Chicago today so I went against the grain and pulled out a fun spring scent.
Very fragrant rose, citrusy orange/grapefruit and I get a hint of clove/botanical lite musk. Impeccable later, slickery, cushiony, my skin feels squeaky clean after this one.
I know I’m not supposed to pull this soap out until March 2nd in observance of Dr. Seuss birthday but like my parents always say, “he’s not a very good listener, that one.”
From the B&M Website:
Keep yourself groomed, even if you’re still hairy
For the failure to do so can make things quite scary
And the creature may visit
To help out where you’ve missed
Let us all be clean shaven! Behold the Whatsis!
