Oh boy! Two days of being very ill so no shaving and let me tell you brother, a shower and shave after that feels marvelous! I've had this puck of Bath House Nutmeg and Fig sitting around for months and figured this was special enough to pull it out and give it a whirl. Buddy, I have been wrong to leave this soap unused. I'm a very big fan of triple milled hard pucks. Not that they all perform better but I just really like the task of loading and lathering them. This one is pretty esoteric and for the love of Pete I don't know why. The scent is lovely. 5 of 10 that lasts through and post shave for an hour or so. This wont interfere with your chosen scent no matter what you choose to pair it with. The scent states nutmeg and fig but my main notes are sandalwood and cedar with a patchouli backup. The spice is there no doubt and a sweetness that must be fig, but the wood is the main player. This would be good year round but when I smell it I get the new life of spring. It's light and breezy which runs counterintuitive to the main sandalwood note but that is my feeling. Lather is excellent and slickness is VERY. Post, like most hard pucks it a bit tight but I'm going to generally add a post shave splash or balm anyway and always a dab of Shea. This is a luxury scent in a premium soap and it'll see more game time.
