An excellent soap with an exquisite scent.  Looks like a run on Shannon's following HoosierShave .

Funny...I was debating whether to use Haymarket Vetiver or the Botanica!

So how is it?

I absolutely love it!  Shannon included a sample a few weeks ago with my order.  It's likely I wouldn't have picked up a full tub without that sample.  I consider the scent to be complex as there are multiple things going on here.  Initially, off the tub, I was picking up a citrus scent.  But once lathered, it's obvious this a floral scent.  But it isn't one floral like rose, violet or jasmine.  It a combination of florals...much like a botanical garden  Wink.  There is also an earthy, almost dirt-like, type scent present as well.  The citrus tends to brighten this "dirt-like" scent though.  Overall, this a floral-forward scent but with the combination of a small bit of citrus and earthy scents it makes for a very pleasant, but certainly not pure, floral soap.

Captains Choice is a brand we see more of than we hear info about.

How is this stuff?

I see this is the soap... Anyone know how it compares to their creams?
Roger Nero - never makes any 'top soap' lists but we see it in SOD posts frequently. I am curious as well

I do not have a cream. I can not compare. I’ll try to answer by soap. Soap is average. Good foam, medium glide, average nursing.
I could write more, but I speak English poorly. Sorry .

First go-round with Soap Science (Doc's Special Blend) and I'm actually very impressed.  The scent is "meh" and, to me, is a mostly medicinal scent.  Lots of eucalyptus which I don't mind and it's only mid-strength so, overall, not bad for me but not one of my favorites either.  On a positive note, because it's mid-strength, it doesn't "stick around" after the final rinse of witch hazel which allows me to pick any splash I prefer.

I was mostly impressed with the lather and the slickness generated.  The soap has that nice gooey-like and shiny yogurt-like consistency that I really crave and I would put the slickness on par with MW, if not a little slicker.  It's going to take more uses to confirm that comparison but, initially, that's what it reminds me of.  Looking forward to using this one again

I got to beta this soap during Hannah's experiment stage.  It was fun working with each of I think 7 bases and about that many scents.  Very nice soap that they settled on.
