With all the questions about Captains Choice, and being I won some samples in a Movember fundraiser here on DFS, I thought I ought to give it a go.  First off, I've known of Captains Choice for many years and think that if I bowl lathered much that heavy copper bowl they make would be right up my alley.  Second, they seem to be we'll know for their bay rum.  I love bay rum but many of them don't love me back.  If there is cinnamon I'm a lobster.  This bay is delicious!  Heavy bay.  Big spice presence.  No cinnamon reaction.  Soap isn't very thirsty but the lather was slick and low structure.  Scent is strong 8 of 10 and may actually increase upon lathering.  Residual slickness is very nice.  Post was fairly tight but a daub of Captains balm righted the ship.  Post would be the only place I'd downgrade this soap but I would never do that because I really don't care all that much about post as I will, use a moisturizer anyway. I'm so pretty!  Great shave with this soap.  I used more product than I might have had too out I'll take performance over economy every time.oh, and I failed to mention it seems to leave no film on my razor.

Mirto di Sardegna v. (Saponificio Varesino) lime, lavender, myrtle, oak moss, vetiver

Have I found my perfect shaving soap? Mirto’s scent is sublime at any time of the year, an excellent balance of lime, vetiver, and oak moss with just a wee bloom in its buttonhole. It’s a pick-me-up on a grey day, and a bright delight when the morning sky is clear. The lather forms effortlessly with hot or cold water. As thirsty as a camel that’s just come out of the desert, it’s both slick and protective every time I use it, no matter the brush or the blade. Mirto finishes dry on me, something I enjoy in a sticky climate, but it’s not tight, and it leaves my hide smooth and satisfied for at least eight hours.

How is this stuff?

I see this is the soap... Anyone know how it compares to their creams?
Roger Nero - never makes any 'top soap' lists but we see it in SOD posts frequently. I am curious as well

I do not have a cream. I can not compare. I’ll try to answer by soap. Soap is average. Good foam, medium glide, average nursing.
I could write more, but I speak English poorly. Sorry .
Thank you both!

I’ve been curious about this one as well, I see those cherries on the label and I’m like yum!
