The puck smells so sweet and flowery you’d think there was no way this is going to work as a soap scent. But build yourself a thick lather and the aroma levels out. It takes on woody nuances, and then mellows, and finally becomes downright addictive. You’ll give yourself one more pass than you really need just to enjoy the luxury of fragrance.

Maya t. (Tallow + Steel) lime, orange, cardamom, coffee, tobacco, allspice
How do you classify the scent of this soap? Looking at the notes listed above, you may be right to expect a hot mess, but Maya’s really not that at all. Like Himalaya and Morocco (the other two T+S soaps I have), the scent of Maya is ever shifting, sometimes smelling boldly citric, at other times coming across very dark and earthy. Each of the notes seems to take a turn in the limelight and then fade into the background. Fun? Yes. Bizarre? Yup. Nevertheless, I like it very much. In fact I like it even more now that I’ve got a four-ounce jar. Until lately I’ve babied along a small sample of Maya, but that little speck didn’t do the soap justice. I had to get a full fresh tub to really enjoy Maya’s intensity and complexity.

I see this is the soap... Anyone know how it compares to their creams?
