I left a snow storm in Idaho to come to an unseasonably hot Alabama. Crowne and Crane Spruce helps my psyche meet in the middle. This will be my soap for the next 6 mornings.
Tundra Artica v. (Saponificio Varesino) woody rose, oud
I can’t imagine why I’ve let Tundra Artica sit on the shelf untouched for nearly a year. It’s a wonderful soap. Easily lathered, richly fragranced, and full of plumpitude, it checks all the right boxes and rings all the right bells. It also satisfied an unexpected yearning for oud that came crashing over me yesterday. It was hard to ignore this hankering for the spicy smell of leaf mould, heavy wet earth, and withered roses. My nose tells me that even in these southern latitudes Fall can’t be too far off.
