Like the his scent and the CK-6 base has the best finish I've ever experienced.
CaD is apparently a copy of a well known fragrance, but I have smelled it and have no clue what it's modeled after. Anyone know?
Vintage Barbasol it used to be called Barber Soul but he got a cease and desist (CAD)

Dolomiti v. (Saponificio Varesino) citrus, lavender, cedar

At some point I’d like to dedicate a week to black soaps. It’s fascinating how an inky black puck can give up a white lather. I wish I understood the physics. Dolomiti gets its dark color from one of its ingredients, black silt from the Dolomites mountain range. SV claims the silt works as an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory, and it’s supposed to tone the skin. In the past this silt was quite dark. Earlier versions of this soap looked just like hockey pucks. Lately though SV has sourced a lighter colored silt, so today’s Dolomiti is closer to gray than sable. The lather, however, is still the same excellent emulsion. It finishes smooth and easy, and it smells like a soapy cologne.

Can you recommend some other black soaps?

Again I reached for the Henrix and Co Barbershop. I am loving the scent of this soap and the shave is quite good (not the best, but certainly a respectable soap).

My only problem is at 3 oz, it's going fast. With two price hikes in no time (now $15) I have been looking at the options for a different barbershop replacement. Mike's barbershop was mentioned as an exact match, so that's probably in my near future. I never asked how it compares in scent strength. Anyone have an opinion?

Thanks.
