This time it was much more honest and more what I would have expected. Perhaps I needed to work the "skin" off the soap or maybe I hit a pocket of cardamom but this time the lather was juniper berry from start to finish. And surprisingly, the extremely tight finish of yesterday was one of more mild drying today. Still not the finish I get with Mystic Waters but much better than yesterday's Sahara. This soap has reminded me that chasing rainbows for the ever-better lather, glide, post, is most likely a myth. This is good soap but it doesn't take me on a bronc ride through the junipers in the heat of summer like Cade does. It doesn't lather as easily as my favorite AOS Sandalwood. It doesn't finish like mystic waters. It's a good one for sure but it'll be hitting the trail as I have so many more I like better.
Is Cade a straight-up juniper scent? I really enjoy my GD Elan mainly due to the scent so now you have me curious about Cade. And thanks to your prior and current commentary/reviews, I'm on the lookout for some tallow-based AOS Sandalwood
