I tried my sample of Mystic Water Barbershop today for the first time. I found the base of the scent to be pretty similar to the Adirondack Jack. I wasn't entirely happy with the lather and found it to have a few too many bubbles for my liking. And I couldn't get it to provide that sheen I like to see. I was afraid that if I added any more water it would make it too watered down and create even more bubbles. While shaving I wasn't overly impressed with the slickness. Notwithstanding my comments, I got one of the best shaves I've had in a very long time. Not sure if it was the soap or the fact that I was also trying a Polsilver SI for the first time in a long time. Sorry for posting a long winded review but I seem to have diarrhea of the mouth today.

Floris Elite shaving soap (tallow), a great one. Sometimes I add a pea-size dollop of the matching vintage cream to it, but not today.

Clay Face
Honolulu, Hawaii
Crema da barba all’olio di Eucalipto v. (Omega) blue gum sap

The hills above our house are covered with blue gum trees, and when the wind blows down off the mountains it brings this tart, sappy smell of eucalyptus with it. Though there’s no menthol in this soap (wish there was) it still feels cooling thanks to the scent. The tub comes cheap and gives a great shave with full marks for cushion. Repackaged, this would make a great travel soap.

Omega’s cream also does a fairly good job of defunkifying one of their model 100065 brushes. The verdict’s still out on this inexpensive pennello. Its handle is carelessly made and the beasty funk is still quite strong. But I like the firm bristles, I got some good lather from it, and it comes with a plastic stand.

Get a chill mill from PAA and make it a mentholated soap. I always wondered about this soap.

Finally finished this amazing soap! The scent is fantastic. It's been about an hour since I shaved and I didn't use aftershave this morning. I'm still picking up faint whiffs the soap and enjoying every last bit of it that I can Happy
