Penhaligon's Castile shaving cream (vintage), old enough to get somewhat dry, but reconstituted with just a touch of filtered water and still having its great fragrance. Wonderful.

Dolomiti v. (Saponificio Varesino) citrus, lavender, cedar

Saponifico Varesino recommends that you warm the surface of your puck with a thin veil of hot water. It explicitly says 'hot water,' and that comes as a surprise since many soaps suffer from a hot bloom. But Dolomiti responds well to the heat and makes an abundant warm lather that's especially welcome on a cool damp morning. SV also recommends that apart from the bloom water you don't add more juice to your lather. I missed that part of the instructions and kept adding warm water until I had a slick hot mess. It felt great and gave an excellent shave.
