Oud Neroli v. (Le Père Lucien) ★★★★☆ oud, neroli, musk, cardamom
This is vastly superior to the soaps I got from LPL a few years back. The lather is copious, stable, cushiony, and slick. It also lasts a full three passes without showing signs of deteriorating into a foamy wisp. And finally, it shaves close and finishes smooth without the least hint of grease. I love it.
One part I haven't come to terms with is the scent. The musk clobbers the other notes. I don't get much neroli at all, and the synthetic oud, if it's in there, doesn't even take a stab at smelling authentic. To me, this soap smells like aerosol antiperspirant from the 1970s. You got a hankering for shaving with Right Guard, have I ever got a soap for you.
