Mikes is always great and Hungarian Lavender is in my opinion the best lavender available. It's floral but also herbal like they wrung the juice out of the whole plant. Hey, I haven't met a lavender I don't like yet but of all I own, Mikes is the best.

Finished this soap today. Been working on it for about two years now. Soap Commander Relaxation has main accords of white tea and ginger. I really enjoyed the light scent and the shaves were ok. Lathers easy but this is one of those soaps hat your lather will look passable but ignoring that and loading more soap makes it much better. I found that loading drier and adding water more slowly yielded a better lather for me. Too quick on the water yields copious lather that is airy and not slick enough. Won't spend a long time on the scent because it has been long discontinued. I assume because most like stronger scents. So long SC Relaxation. You treated me ok.

This time around my Soap of choice was Soap Commander Vision.

This one is billed as Aqua, Amber and Mint. The smell is fairly light, very refreshing and very well though out. The mint, which can easily over power any scent is in proper quantity here. You can still pick out the aqua notes and the two pair very well. I am still unsure what Amber is but I'm sure it lends to this wonderful scent.

The performance was good, though not the best of the best. It provided adequate protection and cushion, while leaving my skin fairly hydrated.

While this is probably a scent best left for Spring, I still found it refreshing. It was a good scent for those days when you just can't stomach something strong and stuffy. [Image: 0745fe08074c5aa65196ae7982149d5c.jpg]

Many lament that Williams soap is no longer any good, but I take issue with that. The trick, at least for me, is to pour very hot water on the puck in a bowl & cover. I then shower and upon exit I drain the water and lather with a synthetic brush. The lather is luxuriant and does not dry out on my face. As well, I get top rate cushion & glide from it. Now if you're one of those Nancy boys looking for post-shave "face feel" then forget it. This soap was made starting in the 1840's for true frontiersman. Men who wore rawhide drawers and picked their teeth with musket flints. Wink

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
