Preshave: Proraso White
Bowl: Castle Shave Lather Bowl
Brush: Brad Sears 2 Band Select Badger 30mm Knot
Shave Soap: Barrister & Mann Lavender in Reserve
Razor: Wade & Butcher 7/8 Barbers Rattler In Custom Walnut Scales
AfterShave: Barrister & Mann Lavender in Reserve

Overall Great shave, a little irritation but I think I need to Re Hone the razor or should have used a Fresh edge when doing this kind of Job. The Scent of the soap is so enjoyably simple that I think I could use it everyday and not even think twice about it. I am really happy with the scent and the wifey loves it as well which is an indefinite bonus!

I received a sample of Bufflehead in a trade a while back and have been using it on and off since then. I don't know what scent it is, but it smells like a nondescript floral/green scent. The strength is pretty light and the performance, IMO, doesn't live up to the hype this soap receives. The current crop of top tier soaps blow it out of the water (pun intended). However, I still had a great shave and my face is feeling very nice. For me, I just don't think it's worth the trouble to try and buy some.

Thanks Jeff! Those comments are extremely helpful in diminishing (but not eliminating Wink ) the desire to get this soap.

This was a great disappointment. Reviews of this soap had me looking forward to a dark, rich lime aroma. When I whipped up lather, though, there was no scent at all. All of its limey goodness has faded away. I suspect my sample, which was shipped half way around the world, suffered in transit. The performance, though, was stellar. And I compensated for the lack of scent with an extra blast of Eau Sauvage.
