Never heard of this...how's the scent/performance?
It's from a maker on Etsy that I found out about on reddit. The maker of Dogwood Handcrafts brushes is involved with the soap and was offering free samples of their newest scent in exchange for feedback. I usually prefer tallow soaps and this one is vegan, but the performance is very good. It really left me wanting for nothing. The scent I would describe as a 'dirty aquatic'. Think of your typical aquatic scent with added notes something akin to lake water or algae. It sounds weird but is actually quite pleasant. I like it. They have some other interesting sounding scents that I would like to try, but their site is taking a break at the moment to produce more stuff.

Matsilainen: Another very good shave with Nanny's Signature today. A boar brush made a thick meringue of the soap, and some extra water gave it plenty of slickness. The oud note was much more pronounced, too. There's just a bit of barnyard in it, not enough to make it repellent, but enough to keep it interesting. Once again the finish was very smooth and waxy because of the generous portion of Shea butter that goes into the mix. As I come to the end of this sample, I'm starting to think about ordering a whole tub, or at least some more samples of Nanny's other scents.

Quite a warm day up here in Woodstock, Vermont yesterday so I went to the post office early and walked around back and Jill handed me Mike’s Vetiver with a smile. Little conveniences like this remind me of my native Ireland!
Even though it’s a harder soap I didn’t want to chance it in the back of a hot mail truck this time of year. I haven’t used Mike’s in ages or in this new jar. Such a wonderful soap and post. An old friend back in the den.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I hope to get to that sample of mine soon. (Too many soaps, too little time…)
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
