Moroccan Sands (Nanny's Silly Soap) rose, incense, oud, musk
I'm glad I came back to this soap. My first two tries with Nanny's Silly Soap were fine but not really impressive. The problem lay with my under loading the brush. My water is softer than moonlight on palm trees, so a brush sprinkled with it needs only touch a puck of vegetable soap to make instant foam. It took a long time to realize this isn't the good stuff that will lead to a satisfying shave. Now I blow the first froth down the drain and charge the brush until I get a pasty load that will yield a proper lather.
That's what I did with Morcoccan Sands today. My fully loaded brush made a fully formed lather that was unexpectedly slick, cushioning, and aromatic. It smelled like a musky rose with just a whisper of 'noble rot' (that must be the oud). It's ample Shea butter - so much that a balm or splash wasn't needed - gave a smooth, slightly waxy finish.

I don’t much like soaps that start to froth at the first sight of a brush, because that froth is usually quite useless. Glad to hear that loading the soap further produced some proper substance.
I once had a sample of Nanny’s Traditional, and as you said of your earlier experiences, it left something to be desired. I still have a sample of Nanny’s Signature. I shall remember your findings when trying it out.
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
