How do you like Muguet? Is the scent more similar to Mystic Water or Mike's? For me, MW is tops when it comes to the LotV scent.
This one is by far the best and most authentic. I've only used it once so far but I can see it becoming one of my favorite soaps of all time. It's more of a cream so you can't really load it from the tub easily, but it makes some incredible lather. Probably the best non-tallow I've ever used, super slick and strongly scented too. It's been a long time since I've used the MW version (I just had a sample of it), but I remember it being very good. The Mike's just didn't scratch the itch for me. This stuff takes LotV to another level. I want to get the "Literal Lilac" scent of this soap now too.

Hi Steve, What is it like to load this soap and how does it lather on the face? Thanks my friend and nice brush.
Hi Zac, you're welcome sir! AK 1869 pre-reformulation is a soft soap that loads very easily, and consequently it lathers easily on the face and the lather does not dissipate at all. Please note that I usually lather with distilled water though my tap water is not bad - I just got into the habit of distilled years ago testing soaps. The fragrance is almost identical to Cella brick. It reminds me of Cella brick but it is noticeably more concentrated or richer.
The brush is a Rooney 3/1 copy by Life2short1971, Scott Lockwood, with one of his HMW knots.
Cheers, Steve
