This soap is outstanding, the performance you expect from Mike's with a peppery orange scent underpinned with a hint of cedar - love it, reminds me a little of the Mickey Lee Italian Stallion but a little more complex.

Felce Aromatica (Saponificio Varesino) light citrus & green woods
Felce is Italian for ‘fern’. Its French equivalent is ‘fougère’. In spite of its name, this scent isn’t much like Brut, Paco Rabanne, or even Sartorial. Most fougères are based on lavender, coumarin, and moss – I’m not getting any of them. Instead, Felce Aromatica is a light green cologne, clean but timid. It’s not going to distract you from the delicate business at hand. The challenge with Saponificio Varesino’s products, for me, is getting enough soap into my brush to make a lasting, protective lather. The older betas are hard, and unless I dampen the puck with hot water and then whip it like Devo, my brush gives me nothing but a cloud of airy foam. I’ve taken to using a sharp cuticle tool to scoop up a gram of soap straight from the puck. Today, after working over my dollop in a lather bowl, I got a fantastic lather that gave me a perfect shave.
