The Los Angeles Shaving Soap Company (LASSCo) Blackfern.
This soap is extremely easy to lather, and I enjoy its rather subtle scent quite a bit. The soap does irritate my skin ever so slightly as the shave progresses, its slickness isn’t the greatest, and the post-shave feeling is quite dry. Although what I just stated sounds rather bad, I will definitely enjoy the sample I have until it is gone. I really can’t stress enough how easily this interestingly scented soap produces lather.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Rose (Martin de Candre) mild bourbon rose buried in French lavender
The smell of the puck reminds me at first of JabonMan’s Rosa Bourbon soap, but that rich rosy aroma fades quickly as the lather takes shape. In its place the rubbery lavender smell of the Martin de Candre base steps forward and almost blankets any trace of the rose. Oddly, after the final rinse, the smell of roses returns, only to quietly dissipate again.
What remains steady is the soap’s excellent performance. After two passes all the salt & pepper scruff has been wiped away, and I'm left as smooth and pink as a new rubber eraser.
