Himalayan Heights (Meißner Tremonia) magnolia, pine needles, warm cement
I spread the thinnest layer of soap in the bottom of my bowl and started to build lather with a damp brush. At first large bubbles formed, a disappointing sign usually, the result of introducing too much water into the emulsion. But these soon subsided and the lather took on a body and creaminess that surprised me. With just one more drop of water, I had enough thick rich foam for four passes, and then some.
The last time I tried Meißner Tremonia, judging from the quality of its lather, the protection it gave, and the superb feel of my skin after the last pass, I assumed it was a tallow soap. I’ve just reviewed the ingredients, and it turns out Himalayan Heights is another entirely vegan soap that gives as much satisfaction as any of my favorite tubs of tallow.
The scent still reminds me more of a botanical garden than the slopes of Nanda Devi.
