Wild Oranges v. (Meißner Tremonia) orange peels
I was just about to pull the trigger on Nordost, Barrister & Mann’s smoked orange scented soap, when I recalled that I already had a soap that smells like burn orange peel: MT’s Wild Oranges. WO is really more than just burnt peel. I get some bruised fruit, a smudge of dirt, and a wee pinch of dried mint. The scent’s not strong on the puck. In fact, it’s hardly noticeable at all, but add a bit of hot water and the scent springs alive. The lather smells far cleaner than the puck, but it too is fairly mild. So nice, but not outstanding. Kinda wish I had gone with the Nordost for my toasted orange peel fix.

Declaration Grooming was a sleeper for me for a long time. I was aware of them but had so many other soaps that I never pulled the trigger. However a couple of months ago I signed up a soap sample pass around box and it had several DG offerings inside. That box can visit your house if you get your name on the list quickly! So now I own a couple and this morning was cur et Epices, a snootful of leather and tobacco flower. It is masculine without being brash and it's different than any other in my herd. Great performer.
