What soap/cream did you use today?

top notch soap in every aspect... very slick, good protection , nice pleasant fragrance.. I get mostly citrusy notes with a balsamic finish... excellent quality too i must add, triple milled.

Sure it's old school.  Yes there are newer brands with more exciting ingredients.  Nope, nobody talks about it anymore.  But wow does this stuff perform.  Maurer & Wirtz Tabac is as manly as they come.  And when I say manly, I'm not talking about testosterone fueled offerings like Stirlings Texas on Fire or Chiselled Face's Gear Head although both of these are interesting and fun.  Tabac hearkens back to a time where androgyny was frowned on and men wore hats and held the door for their women.  This is one of my favorite aromatic fougeres and I don't visit it nearly often enough because performance-wise it'll stand with anyone's and scent-wise it beats most by a wide margin.  I understand the "not for everyone" vibe because some of you just can't handle that much hair on your chest!  (Come on man.  I tease.). My name is Matt and I am a Tabac junkie.

It is good. I use the shower gel and deodorant.

Tierra Húmeda v. (Eufros) vetiver

Eufros usually comes in an aluminum container. Call me finicky, but I think the metal taints the scent of the soap. Today I scooped it out of its tin and mashed it into a wooden bowl. There’s no lid, so the soap filled the room all day with its reeky goodness. Damp and earthy, it’s a good scent to come home to on a stormy afternoon. I’ll leave it uncorked and look forward to using it often. This is straight up vetiver without any accompaniment. The fragrance is not quite as powerful as Salter’s French Vetiver, but Eufros' soap base shaves better. If you take your grass dirty and bitter, Tierra Húmeda is a soap for you.
