Love his ceramic containers but how is the performance of the soap?
Absolutely fantastic, my lather was very dense and thick, smooth yet slick, very nice cushion. I didn’t use a tonne of water in this one to begin, I did shake the brush several times before getting started, I gradually splashed water in. Full disclosure...I don’t like Vegan Soaps, they use Coconut rather than tallow or palm.  Right there I usually bow out as I have better things to spend my $ on. When Alesandro said Laboratories Lelegard was doing the soap, I was in.  I like the Apricot Le Pere Lucien Soap I have so this one was going to be a welcome addition. Summing up, LPL did the soap and those folks take great pride in their work.

I didn’t feel like I had “PhantomLather” with this soap after my initial pass. I like and prefer PhantomLather, however the shave with this soap was so darn smooth, it didn’t matter. The cushion was there and the feel of my face after was very squeaky clean.  A different feel than the aftermath of a tallow.

and you’re spot on, his ceramics are brilliant, it feels like glass! Overall, I’d purchase it again.  I have the splash too, it’s equally nice

Black Tie Razors Black and Tan is a huge win!  $10 a puck, it performs like $20 tubs.  Stick and protective, the post shave is as good as they come.  And the scent!

This version of Lisa’s shave soap is made with ivy extract. The leaves of the ivy vine have been used for a long time to make cough remedies and to treat burns and other types of inflammation. I’m surprised Saponificio Varesino, the other great apothecarian amongst soap cookers, hasn’t latched onto this yet.
