Lemongrass v. (Klar Seifen) ★★★★ creamy lemon grass

Most perfumers try to bring out the tartness in lemongrass, but Klar goes the other direction by emphasizing its sweetness. Is there a drop of vanilla in here? I don't know, but it smells softer and creamier than most lemongrass soaps, even though I catch a small whiff of something industrial. I enjoy it very much, especially on a dull winter's morning when something bright but calm is especially appreciated.

Like many vegan soaps, Klar calls for very little water at first. It's the agitation, not the hydration, that builds the lather. Once it's formed a few more drops from the faucet create good slickness.

Today I chose Cade soap for a very specific reason. I buried my Dad today in a small mountain cowboy cemetery at the base of the Jim Sage mountains here in Southern Idaho. Cade reminds me of the Junipers that surround that cemetery and of rides Dad and I have done working cattle. It reminds me of sunny days in the trees. I spent much of my memorial shave sucking deeply into my lungs the juniper scent of Cade. So long Big John. Enjoy your green pastures.

Matt,
That is a really nice tribute to you Dad. I am really sorry to hear about your loss. Sounds like he had a great life and now eternally occupies a beautiful piece of the world.
Take care,
Matt
