But to be honest, there are only a handful of users. It doesn't have the following of MWF, Tabac or many others.

I don't know why people think it is a "fad" or "hyped", it has been around a lot longer then most other artisan soaps.

I'm OK if people hate it or think it smells like diapers. For me, it hits all the marks for what I want in a soap.

I can understand that.  I used to travel a lot for business and it gets old quick.  Now we do it for pleasure and it feels much better.

Which one do they think smells like diapers? Schafmilch?

I think it was Schafmilch. I don't get it, but one guy on B&B did and keeps bringing it up. He must be relating the powdery scent to scented baby diapers, so doesn't want to rub it all over his face...I get it.

The mind is a powerful thing as well as the power or scent perception. If someone relates a soap to something negative, it will have in impact on how much they enjoy the soap, regardless of quality.

I received a puck of the Haslinger Sandalwood as a gift along with another purchase. I have no problem with the soap and it works well enough for me to finish the puck. However, it is not a soap I can see buying.

Exactly my thoughts! I will slowly hopefully finish my puck of haslinger someday but wont be buying any other one again. Not terribly bad but way too many other good choices available to be on my Den.

I'm not sure when I joined here, but I remember somebody here saying that they were on Haslinger only for a year so I thought, "Well it must be pretty good I'll give it a shot." I got the schafmilch and color me HIGHLY impressed. It has a really plain scent, but that wasn't what I was after anyway. The stuff performs great for me. I got it from tvb shaving and it took a little less than two weeks to get to me for a grand total of just over $8 with shipping. I really can't complain about the price because I just looked at my paypal account to see exactly how much it was and noticed all the other shaving related transactions I have made in the last year. Holy ****.

As a matter o fact I checked and my join date was August 6th and I bought it on August 11th. It must have been one of the first threads I read on here.
