Has anyone heard of Everyday Shaving ?

I keep getting mail from them every other day, and I found nothing upon duck-duck-go-ing the name or searching the forums.

The razor they sell is called Stinger with honeycomb and a bee on it - is this related to Charcoal maybe?

Thanks for any info.

Looks nothing like anything Brian would put his name on to me.

A post on a different forum suggests that Brian has something to do with the company. The old CG site redirects to ES and thier address is the old CG address and someone communicated with them and they said Brian was the machinist for the razor... It all seems very skeptical to say the least!!

They are not easy to find. A Google search comes up with nothing. I finally searched Etsy, found their company and was able to click the link to their site.

A few things that throw me...

the displayed review on the homepage says "Worst shave ever". Lol. That's off-putting.

They say their master machinist has been crafting razors for a decade. Yet, they only have one?!? (Website appears to have come online in 2024, too) That makes me wonder if they hired / teamed up with someone who used to make them for another company. Anyone see Brian's resume on Indeed recently? Lol.

Edit: muzichead appears to have some details that it is Brian. Wow! If it's true, that provides a LOT more value to the new company. Kudos to them, snagging a much experienced and loved machinist. Also... they have Cats!!!

The various cat pictures building razors are funny (one of them in the screenshot below). Kudos to them for that!

The price is a bit high for an aluminum razor from a new company... $95. It's on par with Karve, so it's not insane, but Karve has been making them for years. Many other, lower cost aluminum razors exist. They might find it hard to break into the market.[Image: 6217f055a79b6ff15a6a2dd8216b703f.jpg]

One more funny picture, because... even if they don't have a product we want, you can still get a free smile.

I also followed the address to his old address in Oregon which we know he's not at anymore so I find this hard to believe in the least. Also looking at the razor itself and the rough unfinished look, I can't imagine that he is the one behind this. I think someone's pulling a fast one. That's just my opinion which won't get you nothing...

The whole thing looks like an Onion parody, not a legitimate startup. Those razors look crude and clunky compared to the pictures of refined elegance I have seen of CG.

As you are getting e-mails from them it looks like they have acquired the newsletter subscriber list of Charcoal Goods, otherwise I don't see how they would have gotten those.

The top cap reminds me Charcoal. The base plate is less machined, probably because there's no need to reduce the weight since it's made of aluminum. If the razor had a better finish like Henson, Guerilla, or Karve, it would be more attractive. Still, it lacks the craftsmanship of Brian's art.

I would be surprised if this is not an ai generated scam site. They likely got access to the dns registrar and possibly other services he used for CG by phishing him and forwarded it to their site. My SOC team has been seeing these sites increasingly for some of our vendors.

It's a real razor. I really don't think it's made by Brian of Charcoal Goods though.
