I loaded the razor with a Personna lab blue (not the x-series pictured in my last post) and shaved my head and face with it. For reference, I prefer efficient razors, and my current favorite is the Yates 921-EH. I did two passes on my head using the side of the razor with the larger gap almost exclusively. I tried a few strokes with the milder side, and it didn't really feel like it was doing anything. I also used the larger gap/exposure side for the first two passes on my face. I tried using the smaller gap side to go against the grain. But again, it wasn't doing much for me. I'm sure that side would work better if I took the time to dial in the angle with it, but I just switched back to the larger gap to finish the shave.
I'd say that the "medium" side is more of a mild/medium, and the "mild" side feels extremely mild to me. The "medium" side was pretty nice, and I wish the razor had that gap/exposure on both sides. It was comfortable and gave me a nice shave. The "mild" side was way too mild for my liking, but I had a feeling that would be the case based on the specifications published on the website and Brian's description in his earlier post.
