Nah. I dont think I "complained". You can dig back and prove me wrong I suppose, maybe. I really dont care what Aldo charges for his brushes, nor what Scott charges for his. I can have opinions tho...based on my experience with both brands. I guess I did complain about Aldos customer service..
Not his price...in fact, while typing, I recall sorta defending Aldo's $500+ pricing because i know for fact there are guys that pay that for his poo on the secondary market. Yeah, maybe you got me mixed up with the troublemaker OP? Ha!

In this post tho, I was simply clarifying the difference in the two systems and I think I'm 100% correct. Not trying to justify either brand, boss.

FWIW, I'd not pay more than say $350 on any brush but that dosnt restrict me from commenting on them. That's why your site is here...no?

ah, sorry...it was Tester28. my apologies!
No apologies, you aren't the first. My limited association with that Tester kid has caused me lots of heartburn over the years.

For some, no price tag, however high, is a deterrent – even when there is carnage going on all around.
For many however, the question will always be one of priorities. Hopefully we can soon return to our
carefree ways soon.

Whaaaa? I thought some of the price hike was to pay for previously nonexistent customer service. Months you say? Smh...I really don't get why this seems to happen over, and over, and over. Let's hope you are an outlier.

For a long time I did not dare to order a shaving brush from Varlet.
I am not sophisticated in shaving brushes and I have few of them.
I made an order on the site around June 18. On June 25, Aldo wrote (politely) asking him to confirm the possibility of completing my order in the feedback form on the site.
A few days later, Aldo replied that he would do everything possible to fulfill my order.
I hope everything will be OK.

Gentlemen,
I created a topic about my order here https://damnfineshave.com/thread-the-varlet--21600
I will be grateful for your help in choosing a brush from Aldo.

I was looking at a new brush last night and checking out the website recently. I think Aldo is active and staying on with making brushes. It seems like the website options and gallery have what I would guess are some example of the custom work. I could be wrong but I was always confident in Aldo's production but right now he seems to have been putting updates on the blog periodically throughout the last 3 months.

I know a bunch of people that have gotten brushes and they’re all quite happy

Has there been any flexibility in terms of knot loft? Has the copper insert been a well received addition?
