Pasteur's is offering a Free sample of the upcoming Birth of the Cool soap, the colab with Macduffs. It's only available to the first 100 requests. From the order confirm I received, it's about 3g (.10 oz)- so a shave, maybe two. Definitely enough to know if you like the scent and if it's a must buy.

Dark Sky Preserve


Notes: Lavender Blend, Evergreen Blend, Tree Moss Blend, Benzoin, Bergamot


A homage to Alberta's various Dark Sky Preserves, this scent is an upscaled version of "Lavender + Spruce" from our skincare line up. Various lavenders, evergreens and tree mosses make up the bulk of the scent. The amount of fragrance oil here is minimal (some evergreen FO helps with staying power), so you can expect this scent to be lighter than our other scents that use more FO's. This one is going to be a touch more expensive than my regular stocked scents. French Lavender EO and lavender absolute raised the material cost on this scent to the point where I could no longer honour my regular price point of 26 CAD. I think this is a direction I'll continue to take if the scent calls for it which will allow me to use better materials and more of them when making a scent. Feedback is always appreciated!



Spring Cabin

Notes: Cedarwood Blend, Bergamot, Lemon, Grapefruit, Yuzu, Tangerine, Melon, Cypress, Cardamom, Peppercorn

Spring Cabin features a rich, woody base of ten different types of cedarwood from around the world, which is then brightened by a refreshing mix of citrus and spice notes. This is now the third year in a row I've made this, and I am considering taking a year off to allow for other seasonals! I have 2022 versions available on my site at a reduced rate--if you prefer firmer bases the extended cure time has hardened the soap quite a bit.


Badlands

Notes: Grapefruit, Yuzu, Citrus Rind, Peach, Tonka Bean, Musk, Patchouli, Benzoin, Coriander Blossom

Badlands sees a major update for 2023 with the peach aspect toned down in favour of more sharp grapefruit zest and a hint of florals for interest.

Placed an order for these and I recently killed a tub of Birch+Root so restocking that too, now just waiting on cream soda and Ill be feeling whole again, killed that tub a while ago.
