Underrated Shaving Stuff

If Arko is to get a mention as being underrated then I feel it only fair that I nominate Palmolive shave soap in stick form. No frills, damned good soap, does what it says on the tin and damned cheap too!

Thanks for the reply Rob, yes it could be magnets glued to the bottom of the brushes but then rust would become an unsightly factor!

Fully agree on Proraso green (get the 400mL bottle and feel free to apply several coats). Awesome!

Stirling soaps are terrific (haven't tried the AS's yet, but will). Scooping a bunch more up soon.

Love several of Mickey Lee's products, and great people too!

But, at this point two fine items come to mind per this thread's question:

You like Floid Blue?

Try Barrister and Mann's "Cool". I think he's more blue than "Blue" (especially the AS)...and you can get his.

And try this: West Coast Shaving's "Gatsby" soap and AS. Nice and fruity, but not too sweet, nor powdery. Best of that group, and not too pricey.

They are moving every PAA soap over to the crown king formula so the beach will be available soon after they sell off all of the PAA formula stock I guess.

I still have some in the glycerine HTGAM base as well as PAA v2 - I'll get it in Crown King as well. Its not an everyday fragrance and its pretty strong and long lasting but when you want the Beach, you want it.

PAA soaps are solid, but I really like the CK line even though I only have two of them.

The Beach is pretty awesome. I only had a sample of it but plan to buy a full size eventually. I've yet to find a scent I don't like from PAA or CK. The only complaint I have is my Enigma Machine is very light in scent. It may have just been the batch mine came from, but it's about a 2 on a 1 to 10. scale imo. Smells awesome still, and makes a good pair with B&M Night Music.
