However, am I reading the site, correctly? I see some shaving soaps for $18.95, whereas a few are $10.95.
Does anyone know why there is a price discrepancy as the size of the soaps are all 3.5oz?

Unless I somehow missed it, to me it looks like they do not list the soap jar sizes on the site. I was wondering about the price difference, as well, but when I zoomed in on the product photos, it seems that the old tins are 3.5 oz., whereas the new amber plastic jars are 5.5 oz.

That is, as far as I can tell. Anyone else care to chime in?
This!!!

They used to sell their soaps only in the metal tins, but now they've switched to the plastic jars. You get a lot more product for a few dollars more.

The scents are not as good as those of Nuavia....but a scent does not provide any glide or protection.   I find the scents okay (not bad, not great).   The performance, however, is out of this world.   I find that only Nuavia, Pure2O and MdC are able to outperform Sudsy Soapery.   And again, just another opinion and YMMV.     Shy

I'll grant you that the performance is decent and by all means folks should give them a try, its not big money and you can always pif/bst if you find they're not for you. For me, however, scent is a big part of the experience - not so big that I'll use a good smelling poor performing soap but still its important. Thats probably the reason that I like soaps from Barrister and Mann, L & L Grooming, Mike's, Tallow and Steel, and those aftershaves/toners from Chatillon Lux. If I were to ever lose my sense of smell, my life would be less enjoyable.

Fatip razors are extremely underrated, and I imagine it's because everyone says the razors are aggressive (I prefer "efficient") and people complain about blade alignment (but all three of my Fatip razors have no issues). The plating isn't up to Edwin Jagger's standards, but an Edwin Jagger will break after one good drop, while a Fatip razor may outlive you. They also shave fantastically. I have around eight razors (it's hard to keep track) and I use the Fatip Grande more than anything else I have in my collection.

Agree with the two gents above. My particular favorite is the Fatip Testina Gentile. Very underrated imo. It flexes the blade beautifully and is made of brass. Great razor. Right up their with the Webers and I find it shaves better than more expensive options available including the Wolfman razors.

New Forest shaving brushes. Although they have been out of business for awhile these reasonably priced brushes are excellent. Specifically, according to the owner, these brushes were designed for superior flow through. I believe they had achieved it although it was somewhat at the expense of density. However, they are excellent brushes.

I have 3 or 4 of Peter's early brushes (I believe that was his name) and love them all.

Interesting. I may have to revist my Testina Gentile one of these days.

I have the original 2201 and it has not left my rotation since I got it. A wonderful brush at a reasonable price.
