All I have to say is... I was adviced to join this forum because it had, according to the gent that adviced it, a particularly friendly atmosphere. I haven't joined B&B but have read it quite a bit of info there, and I have to say I didn't perceive the same friendly atmosphere there. I was, at the time, looking for an English speaking forum in which I could learn from those outside my own borders (and provide some help, when able to) and I'm happy to have joined up here .
Every shaving site I have been on, including DFS, (and I suspect other special interest sites, as well) is, sadly, going to have some discord that turns nasty. If that never happened then there would be no need for moderators. What we hope to do here is be a bit freer with our rules while still permitting an open and friendly atmosphere. So far, for the most part, I believe we are succeeding. However, the bulk of a positive atmosphere comes down to the civility of its members. Again, for the most part, Damn Fine Shave has proven fortunate when it comes to that.

Now this is all assuming it was the same member and nothing was photoshoped or doctored.
The posting of a screen shot from their mod forum/PM of what appeared to be a forwarded PM or intercepted with admin abilities, was not only unprofessional but violated unwritten rules about posting private conversations.
While I would agree with him that the screenshot showed some actions that were completely inappropriate for any forum (again, if it was not fabricated or altered), posting it here was not cool.
It also showed me, which I knew already, PMs are not completely private.
as long as the PMs are not encrypted/hashed in the database (which they're not for mybb), anyone who has access to the database can read PMs if they wanted to. me, personally..I have wayyyyyyyy better things to do than read PMs between forum users that do not involve me from the database.

That'll make you go blind
Lol.....When I see something really stupid, instead of going off on the culprit, in the spirit of camaraderie, I send myself a PM

PS: A friend of mine is getting Alvarez Gomez soon, at which point I plan to pilfer a sample .
Thanks for that, it's much appreciated . You'll like the AG but... you need an Eufros/JabonMan. Yes, you do .

Yes but how do you know if the PM is about you or not unless you have already perused said PM?
I'm no Joe Friday of Dragnet, but I see what you're doing...
