Just to clarify items brought up in this new thread, the OP soft deleted his own thread. This was not done at the request of the moderator team here at DFS, but Andyshaves recognized his thread was deteriorating when an administrator from another shave forum came here and posted dirty laundry from their site. A total of 3 posts in the thread were unapproved by a moderator (me specifically), but I never asked the OP to do anything with his thread. I do agree though that the thread had most likely run its course, and if the OP wishes to have it made visible again, he knows he can ask any moderator to do so for him.

I understood it was the OP that chose to delete the thread himself, and after reading his explanation, I do not blame him.

Honestly, I just want to see what the dirty laundry was. I'm a drama voyeur like that sometimes... I avoid it in my own life at all costs, but it sure can be entertaining when it's happening to someone else...

Plus...an opportunity to trounce a B&B moderator would have been welcome. For various reasons...

BadDad That's not going to happen.  We are not airing dirty laundry from other forums here, and we're not letting "drama" from other forums over here either.  In fairness to B&B, it was *NOT* an administrator or moderator from B&B who came here to air dirty laundry.  I only mention this as I do not want people thinking an administrator from B&B came here to stir up trouble.

I understand, I guess it is fun, but how that would make DFS better? Just asking because in my opinion, my opinion, it doesn't.

Of course you are both right in that it would be both immature and pointless. I am glad that this website is not about to let that sort of thing happen, no matter how entertaining it might be in the moment. It is always detrimental and the long-term negativity vastly outweighs any infantile enjoyment it might have brought about.

My post was intended to be tongue in cheek, not serious. I appreciate the maturity in this forum far above my own infantile, voyeuristic pleasure of "dirty laundry"...

BadDad, I both appreciate your clarification of your previous post regarding the entertainment value of drama, and agree.  I appreciate how DFS conducts itself and that is what draws me here whenever I have spare moment.  But the last two decades of "Reality TV" have slowly worn down my instinct to ignore and now I find myself grabbing the popcorn and settling in for the wreck about to unfold in front of me. Who will Ben chose? Will Adam be voted off? Tune in next week, same Bat Time, same Bad Channel!!

Quite right BadDad, well said! That we are able to discuss these topics is a huge boon, and second, that we are able to discuss them maturely ensures gentlemanly exchange.
