Hopefully some folks who have actually used both, as opposed to me, can chime in soon! I love the Schick Prolines in my Vector. I have only the safety bar plate, and I have tried and liked several of the Kai blades, the Protouch MG guarded blade and the Captain Titan Mild blades. I have some Feathers but haven't put one it yet.

Also, as you have probably seen, the Schick blades can be tricky in the Vector. My Vector readily accepts them, while others report difficulties either with loading one or trying to get it off the cap later. Keep that in mind if you haven't bought any.

Here's to some great shaves, regardless!

I still have some of the Kai and Captain Titan blades to get through with my sampler. They didn't have any of the prolines in stock at tryablade, and I don't really want to buy a full cartridge of them lol. Yes, I've seen they can be tricky as well, but I guess I won't know if they fit in mine until I try! Thanks for the advice!

I use both the Schick P-20’s and the Feather Pro Super’s and they’re both great blades. Off the recommendation of some gents here, I always palm strop any Feather before using. Only difference between the two blades for me is I get more shaves from the Feather Pro Super’s but alternate between them both. Hope that helps.

For a more efficient shave, sometimes I take an old blade install it first but backwards as a shim before adding a new blade.

I also get a tugging on the first pass with the Vector and it doesn't matter which blade.
When I had the last vector I was using Super Pro Feather mostly same sort of uncomfortable tug the 1st pass, not a fan of that feel at all.

I notice that I get “tugging” if my lather is too dry

Well , a two day beard is where my discomfort with an SE blade is, but second pass or a 1 day beard isn't bad.
I do crave having a Vector again though.

Did you try the OC or just the SB? The OC is the only plate I use at this point due to my beard necessitating it, haha.

I've never tried the OC, but wonder about it.
What differences do you find between the OC and SB plates, if they are describable?

For me, the OC is more efficient and clogs noticeably less. I’m a big fan of OC’s for most razors and find the Vector OC is much better suited toward my beard and multiple days growth. YMMV but if you like the Vector SB, you’ll really like the OC.

Yeah it isn't a very comfortable feeling. But I don't get any irritation so it's not causing any damage, just uncomfortable. I get the same tugging with GEM razors. I'll need to try it on one days growth and see if it's better. Haven't tried the pro super yet either.

OC is more efficient but I still get a bit of tugging with it. I notice the jump in efficiency on my second pass. Worth dealing with the tugging for how comfortable and close of a shave I end up with.
