There are 6 (six) Wolfman razors for sale on DFS right now, + one stand, and a trade offer. A year or two ago these would have been sold or traded in a NY minute ... and that's a pair of seconds.

There are 3 on the bay as i speak, and a some few that show sold in completed items in the past few months.

When James incorporated the google order form it definitely affected the market, but the coup de gras was the basic finish options. When the two premium finishes were the only game in town the market was still decent for pre owned Wolfman razors, but now, between knowing you can get one directly from James if you're patient, and the reduced price of basic finishes, which are pretty darned good as is .... the market is down the tubes.

Just IMHO.  Blush

True, especially for the SELLER and I am one of those. However, it is great for the BUYER .... Until it is time to SELL.
Again, the need to be selective is even more important now.

However, I think that it is NOT limited to Wolfman razors, as there are SO many choices now, and seemingly endless choices to come.

It is something that's changed  that's for sure.
I don't have one one BST now.
I think it's good so others can jump on in and enjoy the nice Wolfman razors.

Nice to read a discussion rooted in basic economics. If only those in Washington understood this.

A bronze WR2 1.55 just got listed on DFS ... a beauty.!

I'm waiting for my bronze WR1 0.80 SB as I type. I figure another week or so ... and that'll be it for me.

I sold a couple of WR1 0.61, an SB, and an OC a few years back for a good buck, but haven't sold any since. I've thought about selling one or another, but waited too long.

Anyway, nice to have a varying rotation.

Hard to really know why they don’t sell as easily now, but I’ve noticed it too. Maybe it’s just a reflection of the economy - I’ve noticed a lot of WTS ads on multiple forums are very slow lately, not only Wolfmans. Hard to justify buying yet another premium razor or brush when your utility bills are going through the roof.

I'm just waiting for the right one to hit the BST... there are now too many choices TBH and I'm super picky and prefer the older finishes

Yes, I listed my WR1 .94 but it's not the end of the world if I have to keep it

I think the hobby has evolved and Wolfman is just less of an attractive purchase these days. So many artisan razors to choose from nowadays.
We're definitely in the golden age of wet shaving right now.

The waitlist seems to grow longer and longer despite significant price increases. Yet the secondary market appears challenged even with pristine examples listed at generous discounts… Go figure.

Anyone looking for a quicker sale may want to look at selling internationally; They are selling well on eBay in the UK.

WR2 1.25 with WRH1 90mm handle and stand sold for $678
