(08-08-2016, 02:27 AM)Wolverine Wrote: whiteboy_cannon I just had my second shave on my adjustable. First time I went at a 5, tonight I went at a level 6. I had just got done doing my first ever SE shaves with my Schick I1 and was trying to find that next step up in aggression.  The heads look very similar but the longer handle and shape has given me a little trouble. I had shaved 9 times with the I1 and thought I had the angle down but it's like starting over with the adjustable. Due to my schedule my last two shaves I had 2 days growth. I might drop it down tomorrow just to see what it does on the lower setting. Had a really good shave tonight but what's  the point of having an adjustable if you can't play around with different settings.

Good luck with your next shave hope it works better for you.
If you want an aggressive injector that is not an adjustable the Schick E types are great. I think they may be more aggressive than the Schick Adjustable on its highest setting. And they have the comfortable shorter handle.
And thanks! I'm definitely skipping tomorrow's shave, I pet a cat earlier then touched my neck. This was a big mistake as my neck and upper chest broke out in hives. My car allergy isn't usually that sensitive, but it happened. The neck is still a little inflamed from the reaction and very sensitive

Thanks for the info on the Schick E.  Sorry about the allergic reaction, I  didn't know that could happen but I guess it makes sense.  Hope it heals up fast for you.

Well I want to start looing at picking up a GEM SE razor or two.  I would like to go middle of the road as far as mild/aggressive I understand this is always a YMMV. Is this a pretty good break down?  I know I am leaving some out so feel free to add to the list/change the order.  I am not looking to pay a lot as I don't know if I will like them or not so I think I have most that would be considered easily available.  Maybe I am misinterpreting the 1912 as really a 1919???  I admit it has gotten a little confusing as to what is really a different razor versus just a different handle or year.

Mild  ------------------------------------------------------------------------->  More aggressive

Push Button < Featherweight < GBar < Bullet Tip = Clog Prof =/< 1912 < MMOC

I like the look of the GBar and the longer handle of the Bullet tip.

Thank you for any info.

I had a mighty nice shave with morning with my OneBlade and a new hand stropped Gem. The Feather blades are excellent blades, though I'm thinking that the Gem is a little better.

I would say a bullet Tip or g bar would be great options. But as far as your list goes, I'd say the push button is more aggressive than the feather weight

The Pushbutton and Featherweight have the exact same head, but I think the Pushbutton weighs a tiny bit more due to the different handle. To me the PB just feels smooth and efficient. It is my favorite razor right now. That and the Bullet Tip. I have not used the Clog Pruf or G-Bar so I can't comment on those, but of the ones I have or had, they all feel about the same in "aggressiveness" except for two. The Ever Ready 1924 (aka Shovelhead) and the OCMM. So my chart would go:

Featherweight=Pushbutton=Bullet Tip (aka Flying Wing)=Damaskeene (1912) < 1924 < OCMM

But of course YMMV and all that...

Pushbutton, FW, and Gbar are pretty much the same and are quite mild for SE razors but could be considered mildly aggressive in the DE world. The bullet tip and clog pruf are mid aggressive and the OCMM is considered quite aggressive by many.

The 1912 is called that due to the patent date that they use. They were made for many years. I'd look for a Damaskeene (1912). I've always found them to be middle of the road but tending to be milder. Another that I consider to tend to mildness is the ER '14 "Little lather catcher".

My serious suggestion is to just get all of them and dive head first into the deep hole that is SE razors
