I had just got done doing my first ever SE shaves with my Schick I1 and was trying to find that next step up in aggression. The heads look very similar but the longer handle and shape has given me a little trouble. I had shaved 9 times with the I1 and thought I had the angle down but it's like starting over with the adjustable. Due to my schedule my last two shaves I had 2 days growth. I might drop it down tomorrow just to see what it does on the lower setting. Had a really good shave tonight but what's the point of having an adjustable if you can't play around with different settings. If you want an aggressive injector that is not an adjustable the Schick E types are great. I think they may be more aggressive than the Schick Adjustable on its highest setting. And they have the comfortable shorter handle.
Good luck with your next shave hope it works better for you.
And thanks! I'm definitely skipping tomorrow's shave, I pet a cat earlier then touched my neck. This was a big mistake as my neck and upper chest broke out in hives. My car allergy isn't usually that sensitive, but it happened. The neck is still a little inflamed from the reaction and very sensitive
Thanks for the info on the Schick E. Sorry about the allergic reaction, I didn't know that could happen but I guess it makes sense. Hope it heals up fast for you.
