A few weeks ago I'd have said Astra SP.
Now I might say Shaverboy Stainless Steel, especially if I had to pay for the lifetime supply up front.

The weather determines which blade I use. With no AC and no heating, I'm at the mercy of the ambient conditions. As temps and humidity rise, my skin goes pansy on me, and I've got to load up an easygoing blade. In the dead of winter, though, when temps might drop into the 60s°F, I'm good with something sharp. So, here are my ONE blades by the season:

  1. HIGH SUMMER: Astra Superior Platinum Double Edge – This blade starts off a bit blunt, but it sharpens up after the first shave and from then on out, it's smooth sailing. It never chaps or chafes even the most hot and bothered hide.
  2. FALL & SPRING: PolSilver Super Iridium – It's a mite sharper than the Astra SP but it never gets too sharp, like the Gillette Silver Blue (watch out for the third shave with the GSB: it gets you all comfortable and easy with the first two mild shaves, and then wham!).
  3. WINTER: Feather – I have to use a very light hand with the first shave, but after that it's very comfortable, and I like its smooth performance in both Rockwell and Feather razors.
