I've used it twice. It's heavy but well proportioned with great balance. The knurling is superb. It has distinct, even, predictable blade feel. It's operation is smooth and I can say with almost certainty it will provide more gap than you are willing to use

Great razor....I just need to be able to take it apart. Murat apparently doesnt think user disassembly is necessary...and it's not obvious how to go about it.

I’m kind of good with not taking this one apart! Looks very intimidating to put back together!

How does it compare to the one that we both had shave wise? I hear they’ve fixed the rocket launcher top cap!

Ha! Yes, he lost the eject feature. Shave wise, it's a dead ringer almost, except this one can be opened up to around 2.35mm. Im not sure how usable it would be.

The heaviest razor I can put together is a WR2 on a 100mm WRH1 at 139g.

The Sailor is 145g. The handle I need to measure. Im gonna say its 90mm. It balances much better than the WR2, imo. The top cap profile is pretty much identical.

The 2018 Sailor had lots of good blade feel, this one does too. My complaint on the 18 was it couldnt be opened up without parts flying across the room. He fixed that, big time.

Only 2 shaves in, but it's the best adjustable I've used. The Janus better bring it.

Edit...list as 85mm handle.

Good detailed info James! Wow a 145 grams and the blade gap potential I’m sure would makes it a heavyweight contender in any shave off with the big boys I’m guessing.

Thanks !

Thanks for the kind words, Frank.

I think this Sailor is the one to keep. I highly recommend it.

3rd shave was just now on 4 days growth. New Feather and I set the razor on 6. I believe it cut me as close as a 145ish in the WR2. Blade feel seemed in excess of a 94OC.

After the 1st, mine will travel to AZ to a friend to play with. If you'd like, he can send it on to you to evaluate. Your little frenchie froo froo Gibbs will be hiding in a old shoe box under the bed. No doubt.

LMAO!! Frenchie Foo Foo! You did give the Gibbs that name. Lol
Yes I’d love to try it out and thank you that’s very kind of you. I’ve been eyeballing it since I first saw it but was worried about jumping in thinking it may still have the rocket launcher top cap so I was waiting for the kind of input/review you posted up earlier and it seems like a definite keeper if it’s as efficient as the 1.45 on setting 6 that’s really impressive.

Thanks again James!

What is setting 6 on the Sailor? Full turn plus one setting?

Halfway between M/A and A. If you start on the dot and count slashes and lettering, the turret has 9 settings kinda like a Gillette. All the way back to the dot makes 10. Hopefully that makes sense.
