Tatara Offering a New 75mm Handle

Hello to you guys that have bought the Masamune short handle, how does it perform? I am seriously looking into buying a Masamune closed comb razor and the only thing I have a little problem with is to decide if I want the standard length handle or the short one. I must say that I am leaning towards the short handle.....

Just how much do you like short handles? Is is seriously short this one. 75mm is the total length, so that works out less once the razor is assembled. Personally I really like it but it is smaller than a Karve 3" or a CG short handle.

The only handle I am familiar with is the CG 3” hammered handle

The other thing to mention is, how do you hold the razor handle, i.e. where are your fingers? Some people like longer handles for balance and to grip the end for the ATG pass for example.

I hold the razor with my thumb index and middle finger resting the handle on my ring finger. I saw your photo of the Masamune with the short handle next to the CG with the hammered handle and I could see that it is actually a little bit shorter but I am pretty sure the longer Masamune handle is going to be to long for my taste.

You are right, I will go for the short handle since it is a limited run and if I find it to short I think it will be easier too get the longer handle later rather than the other way around just to find out that the short handle is sold out. Thanks for the input.
