I've experienced more than a few dud blades ejected from or jammed in plastic magazines because of the mis-feeding that sometimes occurs within. Realigning the blades, as noted above, solves that problem until the next time. OTOH, mis-feeds are a much rarer occurrence with the metal magazines found on NOS Schicks and modern Chicks (Chinese Schicks). It's part of the injector mystique that you sometimes have to sacrifice a blade in order to save the rest.

The injector is the only razor I leave the blade in between shaves; it's just easier that way. I've also never ejected a rusted blade, so a good rinse and air dry seems to be sufficient.

Received mine today.  Well-packaged as others have noted.  Will try it soon.

Patrick, SupplyProvisionCo , just on the off-chance I get more clumsy in my old age, are extra screws and springs available if I loose it?

Thanks!!

Alan

Just received mine today just before an expected postal dispute so I am feeling lucky. I enjoyed a pretty good shave with the mildest base plate. It can only get better from now on.

I received The Single Edge 27jun16.  It was very well packed and arrived unscathed.

I've had 3 smooth, close shaves with this razor, so far.  The quality seems to be very good.  The weight of this injector is spot on.  I know it was trimmed down a bit during development and I think that was a good call.  All of the shaves have been with the medium(2 dot) guard plate and Personna blade that shipped with the razor.  I was into vintage injector razors for a while, so I have some familiarity with injectors.  I'm liking The Single Edge.  The next step will be to load up a vintage injector blade which I prefer.(Yes, YMMV!)

I also see me wanting(or needing) to pick up a spare thumb screw and spring or two. I could see one or both going flying to never be seen again. I'm not really a clutz, but that just seems to be my luck. Rolleyes

This is a question for all injector experts who have used the The Single Edge: what Schick Type is each baseplate closest to for you (in terms of aggressiveness/effectiveness)

I'm pretty interested to hear thoughts on this as well. I designed it to closely mimic the Schick Adjustable, but the weight puts it in a whole new category.

My Supply Provision Co. package arrived a little over a week ago. Well packaged, it contained razor/plates, several injectors, brush, soap and AS.

Two shaves into the razor with mid-plate and favorably impressed. Well crafted, nice heft and an efficient shaver.
