It was head plate number 2 hard to take a picture the bend in the bar was very small and probably wouldn't show up in a picture

Well, just finished my shave with this puppy.  This is a very nice and effective razor.  I used the medium plate and my three pass shave was excellent.  

The weight of the razor is very nice and balanced.  The blade fits perfectly and has no movement.  The handle is ergonomically friendly, very comfortable.  It is very comparable to my Schick Hydromagic, but even smoother.  I could use this razor everyday and not worry about irritation.

This is a well executed design, even with the blade loading flaw.  I like it!

The travel pouch is pretty cool. I like the fact that is protective without been bulky, great for travel.

The blade brand you are using is very smooth, kudos big time!

Two shaves in, and wow. This is an extremely comfortable, highly efficient razor. I got a very close shave, and it just feels great in the hand. Interestingly, I have only used the plate for mid-level aggressiveness, and I have found no "issue" with loading a blade with another blade in there. This was a tremendous surprise as I was expecting the issue as the company advertised. My first injector-razor, and I have to admit, I love it. Well done, Patrick!

P.S. Patrick, if you read this, do you think you will be offering the chance to purchase extra screws for the plates? I would love to have one or two stowed away just in case. Also, I know you are busy and focused on the second batch and correcting any supply chain issues, but is it possible you may sell plates individually or in goups separate from razor if the loading issue crops up for me?

You're right, we're a bit backed up right now, but we will definitely make extra screws available once we have a chance to catch up with demand. A few folks have asked the same.

We had considered it strongly, but recently decided we will not be offering replacement heads in the near future. This is because there have been some very minor changes (fractions of a millimeter) in the design for the V2 batch. While you wouldn't be able to notice the changes visually, the V2 base plates won't work with V1 handles.

That being said, I'm very confident you will have little to no trouble with the blade injection / ejection process. I inspected every razor (and every baseplate) personally to pick only the best ones to send out. And I rejected all the ones that had issues. (That's what took us so long to ship...) I'm going to send out an official update next week to describe this better, but the short story is that you should be just fine as long as you pay attention to the blade as you inject it.

I ask since I have literally no experience in designing a razor, so I have no idea what an effect could be achieved with such a minute change (maybe it's not that minute when it comes to a razor's head). It's a great question, and I'm happy to share. It's a long story, but I'll try to make it to the point. The update has to do with making the razor easier to manufacture.

There are some very hard spots on the razor (both the jaw and baseplate) to machine, which makes it more time intensive and expensive. These updates are literally fractions of a millimeter, but by making them, we're able to lower our costs and improve repeatability.

The end function and shave will be exactly the same.
