So I love to make my own scents and this is one reason I enjoy getting custom soaps made. After discussing with an artisan an ongoing project they asked what I would do with a selection of scents for a summer themed soap.

I will put the same list below and I would like you to create your own SUMMER SCENT using at least one of those components, you can use any other scents to mix it with!

Pineapple
Blackberry Sage
Black Plum
Cherry
Peach
Ginger
Raspberry Vanilla

I will not say who the artisan is out of respect for them. However I am happy to pass on the suggestions so that they know.

Let your imagination run wild!

So I will start adding a few of my ideas

Pineapple - Pineapple, Sea Air, Litsea Cubeba and Jasmine.

Cedarwood - Cedarwood and Black Plum

Peach - Peach and Ginger

Raspberry Vanilla - Bergamot, Rasberry Vanilla and Black Pepper.

Hi Oli, great thread. I was just thinking of summer time last night and a trip to my wife's stomping grounds in Sonoma. Made me wonder if there were a way to capture the scents of that time in a soap.

Blackberry/Sage
Neroli
Jasmine
Eucalyptus

My favorite summer combo is eucalyptus and mint

One scent i've always wanted to try is Honey Citrus with a nice cooling sensation.

If we could, it would also be cool to do a LE with LPL in a 200g tin.

kwsher Thanks, that sounds very nice, I like the sound of that. You are a seasoned pro at scent mixing from what I have heard about Obi Hill.

ANG69 you can add apricot but which of the scents listed would you put it with? I like Eucalyptas and Mint too, may a E&M with some plum?!

Balj86 I like the sound of that, I think Mystic Water does Sardinian Honey which is Honey and Citrus but it doesn't have Menthol. I have actually just checked this and it appears I am wrong I thought it had citrus in it but it's not listed on the site.

I am in particular looking for suggestions around the scents I listed so I can forward them on to the artisan, but you can mix any of those scents with anything else.

Good start though!

I would combine apricot with peach and ginger. Adding plum to E&M sounds interesting, but I would try jasmine instead.

I think peach w/ ginger would be great. Peach with Honey as well (but could end up being to sweet). Then again just peach/apricot would be a treat by itself too.

I am definately game for Peach and Ginger.

The only problem with that is that it's very foodie, which I like but I get that many people don't.

For them I would go with Peach, Sandalwood and some dirt. Maybe chuck in some Vetiver or Oakmoss to ground it out.
