I'm like you and not normally irritated skin but had the same situation with every GD soap I tried and gave up. A&E, no trouble. Go figure.......

I bet its those darn fragrance oils... they burn the best of us!

I was messing around with mixing essential oils the other day in my after shave.... put 2 tiny full drops in a 15 ml bottle and it burned me.

I wonder if any of the artisan makers follow IFRA standards? ( I seriously don't know) I'd think that with the quantity of product going on our faces and the scrubbing, the cutting etc, that keeping allergens down would be extra important.

Very close, comfortable shave today. The Dart is wild, enigma of a razor. I know a lot of people truly hate it, but I'm on the other side of that camp and fascinated by how much blade feel it has, yet somehow isn't uncomfortable (for me). I can't even firmly decide if I'd call it aggressive or not. It is however very efficient and leaves me with a perfect irritation-free shave!

The Noble Otter 'Rawr' is a wonderful scent. I saw one online review that said it smells like a new tennis ball. Pretty accurate really! I can smell that if I think about it. But for me, the first thing I get off the puck is an expensive Spa or high-end Vegas Resort scent... massively fresh, clean, airy, spa. I dig it.... a lot. Performance of Noble Otter is good, but not Elite - Level in my book. I'd put it a tick behind B&M in regards to performance. Still a wonderful soap.

The brush was the old 3-band Thater... my first quality Badger! Softest knot I own. Still has a bit of backbone though and can whip up a nice lather with out being a flopper.

Blade was a new Astra SP. When the 100 ct boxes go onsale at Amazon for $6 shipped, I can't just can't help myself. Should have enough of them now for the next 50 years

Great report and the Dart tore me up......well it was rough feeling. I hear a shallow ride the guard approach is best which I failed to try when I had it.

It's been a while since I reached for the Palmolive. What a classic product! So easy to lather up, old-school scent, and a perfect menthol cool. If you haven't tried it.... you're missing out!

Gotta cut the shave notes short... seasonal allergies are kicking my butt here in the Pacific NW today.

Seasonal allergies suck. Mine changed from seasonal to year round, so I can relate.
