It's kinda hard to do testing on a product when you can only effectively use it once per day ... I intentionally used my most drying soap (MDC) so I could see how my aftershave toner worked with one of the new ingredients. Happy with the result.

I've also been messing around with a product naming and label ideas. How do you guys like this?

Great question...

I'm naming my products after interesting historical events or items. Each will have a unique scent profile inspired by the geographical area/event/item, etc.

Toba will be the first, but I have a total of 6 in mind.

Fun shave this morning. I’ve always liked matching up the aggressive Ikon Tech with a Voskhod blade... the Voskhod is kinda a slow, toughy blade and not the sharpest, so somehow the 2 work for me.

The Dogwood brush is a monster at 30mm and the SHD knot is a true pleasure to use.

Haslinger is a nice soap. Not the best in my den, but I do like reaching for it from time to time. I don’t get aloe from the scent, as it mostly reminds me of clover flowers. Growing up as a kid in Alaska I knew this scent well during the summer months.

Finished up the shave with a big splash of Floid Black and man did that alcohol burn after using the Tech! Haha. This scent is modern compared to all the other old-school Floid offerings. I like it a lot, although it’s scent almost a dead ringer for a can of fruit cocktail juice
